Tier 2 Premiership – Week 4!

Week 4 of the Premiership has come and gone and we’re into a break now for some European action. We still had plenty of Tier 2 action this past weekend though, and here are some of the highlights of the first 4 weeks:

  • A combined 67 starts and 40 replacement appearances.
  • One player has started all 4 matches – Nathan Hughes
  • Eleven other players have appeared in some part of all matches
  • Ten Tier 2 players have scored tires, Halavatua of London Irish has two!
  • And there have been 4 yellow cards and 1 red!
  • Two teams, Harlequins and Exeter have not used a single Tier 2 player
  • Newcastle lead the way with 16 Tier 2 appearances (17% of total players picked)
