Tier 2 Premiership Week 3!

Following on from my post about the Tier 2 players in the Premiership, here’s who played in Week 3!

Each week, I’ll also try and highlight a couple of the players who featured – this week involving a Moldovan and another who ended up in the bin!

Asaeli Tikoirotuma originally came to England last year with Quins, but has moved west this summer to Irish. Born in the Fijian capital of Suva, he found fame playing for the Chiefs in Super rugby, scoring 13 tries in 45 matches over 3 years before his move to England. He didn’t set the world alight at Quins but he scored a good try against Sarries at the weekend which gave Irish a half time lead, although he ended up in the bin early in the second half.

Vadim Cobilas is a Moldovan international who is considered the “poster boy” for his country, having been with Sale since 2011. He’s just completed 100 matches for Sale and has played in all three matches this season at prop. The first Moldovan to play professionally in England, he has 45 caps for his country, currently ranked 32^nd in the world. Their next match is on 7^th November away in Sweden in Division 1B of the ENC.
